The West Kalimantan Provincial Government has reaffirmed its readiness to align regional development planning with the fiscal policy direction and national development priorities outlined in the Draft 2027 State Budget (RAPBN).
West Kalimantan Governor Drs. Ria Norsan, M.M., M.H., together with Deputy Governor Krisantus Kurniawan, S.IP., M.Si., and members of the West Kalimantan Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), virtually attended the Government’s presentation on the Draft Law on the 2027 State Budget (APBN) and its Financial Note from Balai Petitih at the West Kalimantan Governor’s Office on Friday (August 14, 2026).
Broadcast live from the Nusantara Building at the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, the session outlined several key government policy directions, including national fiscal policy, economic growth projections, national development priorities, and fiscal transfer policies for regional governments in 2027.
Following the President of the Republic of Indonesia’s address, Governor Ria Norsan said the policy directions outlined in the Draft 2027 State Budget would serve as an important reference for the West Kalimantan Provincial Government in preparing its 2027 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) and Regional Budget (APBD).
“Synergy between the central and regional governments is essential to maintaining economic stability. The key points conveyed by the President in the Draft 2027 State Budget will serve as an important reference for us in preparing the 2027 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) and Regional Budget (APBD), ensuring that they are aligned with national priorities,” Norsan said.
According to Norsan, the government’s budget policy framework also reflects efforts to implement the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, particularly by ensuring that the management of natural resources and national wealth delivers the greatest possible benefits for the welfare of the people.
“The essence of the President’s address was how to implement Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, so that the land, water, and all of the nation’s resources are utilized as effectively as possible for the prosperity of the people,” he said.
In following up on these policy directions, the West Kalimantan Provincial Government will continue to focus on strengthening the region’s key economic sectors, accelerating strategic infrastructure development, improving the quality of human resources, and pursuing measures to maintain purchasing power and improve public welfare.
Norsan expressed hope that the 2027 State Budget policy would further strengthen coordination and alignment between central and regional government programs. This would ensure that West Kalimantan’s development agenda not only responds to the needs of local communities but also contributes to achieving national development targets.
“With stronger synergy, we hope that development in West Kalimantan will deliver greater benefits to the people while contributing to the achievement of national development targets,” Norsan concluded.
The presentation of the Government’s statement on the Draft 2027 State Budget Law and its Financial Note was attended by the Governor, Deputy Governor, and members of the West Kalimantan Forkopimda until the conclusion of the session.
